Meet The 2016 PAALH Auction Horse!

BACK TO THE 2015  CANADIAN NATIONAL SHOW PAGE

Every year, PAALH fundraises via the donation of a horse from a very generous sponsor.  The funds raised help us with the Canadian National Show as well as the day-to-day costs of running the only Andalusian & Lusitano Horse association in Canada!

This year, PAALH is thrilled to introduce Itala KD, the 2016 PAALH Auction Horse and your future shining star!

(Odin x Pizpireta)
2013 Black Pure Portuguese Andalusian Mare
IALHA Registered and APSL eligible
Itala’s sire is Odin, the smokey black son of the legendary Lusitano pair Umbaba and out of Epoca.  Odin was imported from Germany as a youngster.  "His grand lines come from the best in Portugal," stated by Francisco Bessa de Cavalho, who is the Sr. rider at the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, Director of Quinta da Fonta Santa and noted breeder. Odin was the selected mount for the 9/11 Celebration in New York City where he was ridden by the Mayor of NYC thru the Waldorf Astoria Ballroom to recognize the fallen on that memorable day in September.  Odin has produced many champions in Dressage, Western Pleasure and Working Equitation as well as being a champion himself.
Italia KD's dam, Pizperita, is the daughter of Halconero, the black Lusitano stallion owned by Carpe Diem Farm.  Halconero has proven himself as not only a champion dressage horse, but also a bullfighting stallion in Mexico and an exceptional Grand Prix jumper. Itala’s bloodlines are mostly of Veiga on both sides making her destined to be an exceptional athlete.
This lovely mare was won by Lisa Adams in Pennsylvania, USA.  Thank you, Lisa, for bidding - we know you will be thrilled with her when this filly arrives at your farm.
Itala KD was bred by and generously donated to PAALH by Ramona DeJong and Kelly DeJong of Ciel de Cheval at DeJong Farms in Sheridan, Oregon
An enormous thank you to the DeJong Family!
